3/28 Confined by Negativity

If you're stuck in a pit of negativity, then PT has a word of encouragement for you today.

REFLECTION VERSE: And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 (NLT)

Good morning. It's time to rise and shine. Let's do this together. Let's follow Christ! You know we've been sitting with the idea of confinement and how we are not to settle for defeat in our Christian life. That's not what we've been called to. We've been called to life with God that was secured for us by Jesus. Using John as that example of what it can feel like to be confined sometimes, hindered, imprisoned in a cell. We can either yield to that and let it sort of define our lives, or we can choose to walk in the promises of Jesus.

One of the things we're told in Romans 8 is that in all these things we are more than conquerors through His love. We are conquerors, in the Lord's name, over any area of our life. We often fall into a pit of negativity; maybe some of us are feeling that right now. But as followers of Jesus we’re called to accent the positive and to live in promise, to confront that tendency to be defeated by things that seemed to want to dominate us that aren't good. Difficult things that they may be, but the Lord has better things ahead for us. Gotta keep our eyes upon Him and our hearts connected to His promises. “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” That's a promise. Even now Lord, I ask that You would help us to claim Your promise. There is nothing in life that can defeat us in everything, we can be with Your help, more than conquerors.
