REFLECTION VERSE: 'He who has ears to hear, let him hear.' Matthew 11:15
- Good morning everyone, this is P.T. and it's time to rise and shine, I'm still here in Hawaii, it's Monday, yesterday... I'm visiting my family. Yesterday in church, we talked about the call of Matthew and what an amazing thing it was, right? So, as Jesus was walking by, in Luke 5, it says that he saw him and he said "Follow me," and then he left everything behind and he got up and he began to follow him. That phrase, he left everything behind and he began to follow him. That's where I want us to dwell this week, that's where I want us to dwell this day. What does it mean to leave certain things behind? Now, in Matthew's case, he left everything, he left his career, he left his friends, he... Well, that's why he had a celebration, he wanted them all to be a part of this moment where he was just starting an entirely new chapter of his life with Jesus. Now, some of us, that's not really what we're talking about here. What we are talking about though is making sure that we're not getting stuck. We're not getting stuck. That we are forgetting the things that we're supposed to forget and remembering the things that we're supposed to remember. Forgetting the wrong things, remembering the right things. Letting things be and focusing in the right direction. Right, letting go and focusing in the right direction. Forgetting what God wants us to leave behind and focusing on what he wants us to embrace. That's my prayer. Are we stuck on things that Jesus is saying, "You were supposed to leave that one behind "and follow me! "Leave that thing behind and follow me." Lord, if there are areas in our lives right now, attitudes, ways of being that we're supposed to be letting go of and not carrying with us, then I ask you to help us do that, in Jesus' name, focus on the right things.
Lord, give us a willingness to be doers - living out Your Word with peace and joy 🙏

While we are doers, let's also rest and reflect on our lives - be careful to not get ahead of ourselves.
